Research
My current research focuses on how the tumor microenvironment (TME) affects tumor immunity. Immune cells in the TME dysregulates immune responses by hindering the immune system from distinguishing foreign and normal cells. Immune responses toward cancer are affected by checkpoint receptors. The processes in which TME influences the checkpoint receptors remain poorly understood. The research will investigate on CD28 and CTLA-4 mechanosensing and lateral crosstalk of infiltrating cytotoxic T cells.
